You are in a small room, some buttons here and there, which produce some small noises. They don't really bother you as they are covered by the tumultious sound of the canons and dying comrades. Your partner in the upper part of the tank screams, you can't hear everything.
"RIGHT... G... ON THE...", are the only words you hear from him, interrupted by a well aimed gunshot. While you think about this whole war. About your family you had to forcefully quit, the sound of the shots and the artillery starts to slowly disappear. You and your teammates wait in the tank for a few minutes. Is it really over? Did we win? Those are the questions you ask yourself. After these long minutes of silence passed, you decide to

[[Remain inside]]You are in a corridor, running. In your belt you have a door picking equipment, a gun and 6 ammos. A big strong man is in front of you.
"C'MON, WE GOTTA GET OUT OF HERE"
Behind you, 3 men follwing you. You can hear them coming, in 1 minuten they will catch up with your position. In front of you there is a closed door, two windows, one of them is open and gives a free access to the roofs.
"How are we gonna do, $name!!! DO YOU HAVE ANY IDEA?" Screams Maksim, your partner.
"Why don't we fight?" You answer
"There's too many of them, find another thing!"
(This is an explanation from now on, you'll be confrontated to choices, as explained before. The normal choices don't have any particularity, however, the stats choices have a "succeed" and "fail" variable. When you'll press on a stat choice, a dice will roll and if the number on the dice is greater than your stat value, you'll fail and face the consequences. So try to always take the choices where your stats are the higher. If you don't remember them, there will always be an option like Character to let you see your stats)

It is true, you succeded. Kyiv is yours. You won, but at what cost? You never wanted this, you never wanted this war. All you wanted was to live a peaceful life, with your grandson, working in your mine.
[[2 weeks later]]You resist to the temptation and remain inside the vehicule. On the other hand, one of your partner didn't resist and stormed out of your tank. All you hear when he is past your eyesight is some footsteps, a second man is walking towards the engine, he screams in Russian
"WE DID IT, WE WON"
It is true, you succeded. Kyiv is yours. You won, but at what cost? You never wanted this, you never wanted this war. All you wanted was to live a peaceful life, with your grandson, working in your mine.
[[2 weeks later]] The war finished a few weeks ago. The reason Russia invaded Ukraine in the first place is now clearer. Resources, it's always resources. The sinews of war, it was first iron, then coal, followed by oil and today, it's albinite (might have to change that). Used for powering engines, canons, battleships, everything. Albinite is the new oil. And Ukraine had a nice little gisement of it. Russia took the opportunity.
The moment the war ended, the gisement was already exploited.
You wake up, from your boring mine dorms. You stand up, drink your coffee, eat some plain bread and put your uniform on. Same routine as when you fought for your country, just different uniform. You walk out, the dirt you walk on is a mix of oil and sand. This sound is now part of your life, from now to the end. As you enter your working area you can hear a certain song playing in the background. "🎶 Little darling, It's been a long cold lonely winter 🎶". You don't know why but you relate to those lyrics. As you start working, you can hear the distant noise of a plane approaching. "🎶 Little darling 🎶" The plane is getting closer. " 🎶 It feels like years since it's been here 🎶". It's on the top of your head, it seems like it dropped something, not that it bothers you. The dropped item falls, you recognise a familiar shape "🎶 Here comes the Sun, doo-doo-doo-doo 🎶"
You start to see the people running in different directions, screaming. At least you think. There is no sound, just white. Plain white everywhere. As you breath the air of life for the last second, you think about your grandson, a tear on your cheek. Which, sadly, will never touch the ground.
[[...->Welcome]]So it seems you aren't used to this type of stories. I'll make a confession, me neither. But we are here to learn right?
So as I said before you will be confronted with choices during the whole story. There will be different types of choices. First we have the normal choices, like the one you clicked to arrive on this explanation. Those don't recquire any particular possessions or skills, it is a normal choice. However throughout your short adventure, you will encounter choices that have some recquirements. In a near future you will have to chose some objects that will come with you. Those objects will forge your character with skills such as AIM, FORCE, CHARISMA, INTELLIGENCE and AGILITY (may have to change this).
When you'll face those choices a little dice choice will (normally) appear on the page. If the number of the dice is inferior or equal than the value of the skill recquired to pass the choice, you will pass without any problems. On the other hand, if you fail, so if the value of the dice is superior to your skill, then you'll have to face the consequences of your failure (in the story, obviously)

AIM: In every situation that recquires shooting or throwing something, this stat will be the one deciding if you fail or succeed the shot
PHISICAL FORCE: In every situation were you phisically fight someone, intimidate or have to force something. A safe or a door for example, this stat will be the one recquired
CHARISMA: If you have to bargain, convince, negotiate, etc... this is the stat that will be recquired
INTELLIGENCE: When your character has to hack a computer, or solve some equation, create a chemical reaction, etc... this is the stat that will be recquired
AGILITY: When it comes to jumping, running, escaping, roll, etc... this stat will be the one recquired

In a small lapse of a few seconds, you decide to pass through the open window and you find yourself on the roofs. You run through it when you see another roof in front of you with a 3 meters long hole in between it and you. If you happened to fall, you would certainly die. With the basic knowledge on holes that you have, there is a 2 in 6 chance of surival. The men saw the both of you climb on the roofs and are following you, you still are running when you have to make a choice.

As you insert your lock-picking intrument in the door you can see Maksim's expression which is very uncommon. He partially trusts you but is mostly scared for his life

Leaving it might be a bad idea, but with your destroyed body, moving the corpse of a grown man could take a while. You can hide Maksim, heal if you have the necessary equipment or just leave. They surely had friends, family, lovers. And you still killed them, just cause you had different political convictions. The United States of America, scared by this advancement, decided to use once again what humankind thought undoable.
Kyiv, Moscow, Saint-Petesbourg and Tioumen were bombarded with nuclear bombs. The problem is that this time, the enemy also had this type of weapons. Washinghton, New York, Houston and the gulf of Mexico for its oil exploitation were bombarded by China and Russia who formed an official alliance after the USA's attack. These bombardments were stopped thanks to two factors. The major religious figures made announcements, which influenced the public opinion, and the nuclear tension. As long as no one bombarded back, everything would be fine. This put the world in a second cold war. But this time, things were different for Africa.
The African Union solidified and become something concrete. Thanks to its technological advancement the fact that different thousands of refugies from different nations came in Africa and, the most important, an enormous quantity of albinite gisements were found throughout the whole continent made Africa one of the three Superpowers, the Sino-Russian alliance, the United States Of America and The African Union.

[[...->captured]]"WoW" The only word that passes through your mind when you enter. You are in a small white room with two shelves full of various things. Imagine one thing, any thing. And if you thought about ammunitions, medikit charges and a nice hat, you are right, these things ARE present in the same room as you.
"WHAT AN AMAZING ROOM!!" you scream literally in the face of Maksim, who replies with the most shocking words you ever heard in your life.
"I mean it's not that good. There's a hat and some ammos..."
"How dare you" you tell at the instant he breathes his last word, "Can't you see the beautiful and fancy hat?"
With a sigh of desesperation and disapointment, he nods and barricades the entrance before the men arrive.
As you take the items present on the shelves and the fancy hat. Which you stare for a long minute, transcending his soul (yes, you really appreciate hats).
With your hat on your head, you now need to chose the path you and exaspered Maksim will take (set: $hat to 1, $ammo to it +6, $medikit to it +2)

[[Take the door in front of you]]As soon as you enter through that door, you find yourself in an even bigger room. There are some benches in the middle, a dozens of locker set in a line and, the most surprising, a naked guard changing.
As soon as you see them you hide back in the previous room and plack Maksim on the wall making him sign to be silent.
"What do we do?" You whisper to him
"Honestly I don't know, we can take them from behind in a front fight or just sneak pass and leave, choice is yours"
